Blago Trial Verdict

It would seem that Rod Blagojevich has dodged all but one of the charges against him. The total would be guilty on 1 count(not sure which one) and 23 others were declared mistrials.

I’m not a lawyer, so I’m pretty sure I’m completely unqualified to offer the opinion that the fact that this guy could not be found guilty of any wrong doing means that the justice system as it pertains to politicians is a joke. A very big, very unfunny joke.

I am not a lawyer either, but my opinion is that is his innocence has more to do with what he knows than what he did…

My meaning is, that given the entire US Government right now is from or banking on the man from Chicago, do you really think they want to give him a reason to spill the beans on all of their corruption? I have a strong feeling that good ‘ol Beeyo called up his right hand man Rahm and told him to make sure that Rob doesn’t go down. If he goes down, we ALL go down, so give him a reason to be our friend. You may call me a conspiracy theorist, but is it really that far from the realm of possibility?

If you listen to the jurors depiction of what happened, even the ones who thought he was guilty of everything said the case was weak, the witnesses were worthless and more indicative of his innocence than guilt, and that the case itself was structured so complexly that it made it seem like they were reaching just to convict him of anything.

Odd that for a man who seemingly did SO much bad stuff and SO blatantly the prosecution could not put a simple, solid, home run case together. Sounds like someone was tying their hands…now who in Chicago would have THAT kind of influence? Hmmmm…
