Of course, you need to fuel the stove with pellets.  This year we purchased a couple of tons of pellets which, as of earlier today, were still sitting in our driveway.  Not a good situation for the pellets, even though they are covered with a couple of layers of plastic.  I know from past experience that the only way to keep the pellets dry is to keep them in something that keeps the water outside, and plastic wrap doesn&#8217;t do that.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So, I moved 1 ton of the pellets from the driveway to the basement today.  Luckily, a wheelbarrow made the process as straightforward as it could be without a pallet-jack and an unobstructed path to push a ton of pellets through.  So I&#8217;ve got the pallet about 3\/4 moved to the basement when I have the following exchange with the daughter:<\/p>\n<p>daughter:  Dad, I picked up the spilled pellets for you.<br \/>\nMe:  OK, thanks you.<br \/>\ndaughter:  How many bags of pellets are there?<br \/>\nMe:  100 bags.<br \/>\ndaughter: 100 bags!  Holy moly, that&#8217;s a lotta friggin&#8217; bags!<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps you had to be there, but hearing that last statement from the mouth of a 3-year old struck me as pretty friggin&#8217; amusing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have a pellet stove to heat our basement.
